Nashville, TN

Check out the 5th Year Anniversary Celebration Agenda Here!

Join us in Nashville, TN from August 18th to 20th, 2023 for a 3-day event commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the Gilead COMPASS Initiative.

As a valued community partner, you’ll have exclusive access to activities designed to deepen your understanding of the impact of the COMPASS Initiative in its first 5 years. Learn about new program development and partner projects while increasing your visibility through various media avenues. Connect with other HIV service providers and build future partnerships, all while staying informed about upcoming HIV-related policies and issues.

But that’s not all! Our anniversary event is jam-packed with inspiring and engaging activities. You’ll have the chance to engage with artists, advocates, and community partners who have helped make COMPASS a success. Immerse yourself in the Artists Showcase, the release day of our special journal, and cap it all off with a celebratory brunch on Sunday. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:

Friday, August 18th
Advocacy Forum
The kick-off event will bring together COMPASS partners, federal and state leaders, and Tennessee advocates to discuss crucial policy and advocacy matters for the upcoming legislative session. TN-based CBOs will also share their experiences and involvement in HIV advocacy within their communities and strategies for others to engage in policy and advocacy initiatives within their respective states.

Artist Showcase
Come experience the artistic expression of COMPASS partners who have helped change the public perception of HIV in the South. Join panel discussions with artists and filmmakers. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served.

Saturday, August 19th
Journal Release Day

Be there for the unveiling ceremony of our journal and breakout sessions featuring the CBOs accepted into the journal. You’ll also have the chance to hear from guest speakers and highlight select authors and their work. A plated lunch will be served.

Evening Gala
Also on Saturday, August 19th, dress to impress for the evening gala and awards ceremony. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from a keynote speaker and honor those who have made a significant impact on HIV prevention and care efforts in the South.

Sunday, August 20th
